Gliese
Darkness.

“Awaken/,” came the command line. A beep, followed by the screech of data, focused the darkness out from her vision. “Complete.”

Government. (FanFic – Star Wars)

“Silence!” The voices that filled the hall quelled into a hum. The Chancellor’s seat hovered over the Republic. “All in favour?”

Mutation.

Stalks protruded from his hands, at first. His body was a forest by the time Unkha came back with the anti-fungal.

“This won’t do.”

Laboratory.

The Light Tower was more than a research building, it was a laboratory equipped to alter the genes of children.

Primordial Matter.

It started with the beginning of simple life on Gliese. Proto-bacteria thrived. The find of the century! Then the shuffles began.

Coming Soon to 600 Second Saga

Ship.

The crew thought that the ship travelled back in time but, as it turned out, the other planet was just closer to the singularity.

Coming Soon…

Olifante Small
Dystopia.

The Olifant barrel loomed overhead, its shadow the cold reminder of what the world became. Thunder boomed out it, and we lost.

Coming Soon…

Moons
Moon.

They aligned, and darkness fell on the land as their proximities charged an EMP across the planet that the moons orbited.

The Sound of Emptiness.

Hemianga drifted in the vacuum watching the battle unfold without her. Lights flashed. Debris hurled. Fate was mute and isolated.

Coming Soon…

Zombies.

The neuronetwork enslaved us all, pitting us against each other for popularity. Our social ranking gave us power over others. The popular controlled the minds of the average. Several of them turned their underlings into mindless drones. I am of those.

Enemy Combatants.

Lead and plasma rained across the horizon. My sights were set on him. I breathed out and contracted my finger. He collapsed.

Weather.

They warned us but we were deaf to the growing stones of ice pelting against the roof, numb to the water draining from our skin.

Space Jobs.

Bureaucrats. The Time Lords of politics; from prehistory through to far-future. The true constant in all of space and time.

Quarantine.

The contagion hadn’t leaked but people around the lab reported symptoms. Do we not yet fully understand our own creation?

TechBiology.

Technology.

CloneClone.

I looked into her eyes and like a mirror, she looked into mine.

“I am,” she repeated her answer to my question.

“You’re me?!”

War
War.

She was war-torn; two nations battled inside for the right to control her. Blood filled her body. Her lungs, explosions.

Light.

They huddled across the pool, oblivious to the enormity of the universe around them. A bright light appeared, far above the dish.

Utopia.

It was a dream; a pleasant one, but still just a dream. The utopian idea of negative mass and warp drives faded with each blink.

Terraform1
Green.

Forest floors covered in minute atomic blasts of the invasive lime fungi signalled the end of the terraforming campaign.

Animate
Re-animate.

“It’s rendered. Rendered!” she arched her arms above her head as the homonculi animated on the screen before her glazed eyes.

Abduction.

“W-where am I?”

“Beats me.”

“But you took me!”

It shrugged.
